The color palette of history is mostly confined to black and white only;none of us really know how the people, their outfits and their background really looked like in real that is in color. The same question stung a group of enthusiastic members from the Reddit team, renewed as r/ColorizedHistory. Their sole aim is to take the most intriguing old black and white photos and add life to them by bringing color to the images in the picture and make the picture look like, it had been taken only yesterday.
In this process, the black and white photos are picked and are digitally colored by adding a hue of interpretation and imagination. This idea might look simple but the work behind needs hell lot of historical accuracy embedded. Every time a picture is digitized it leaves a surprisingly touching effect making the historical moments a whole lot more powerful. With an advent like this, the present is shaking hands with the history that seem to be lot more real, and looks like it just happened.
Over the last couple of years, the trend of sharing the world’s most treasured historic images online with a colorized effect is tremendously growing. The reason behind this might be, the images being clicked at a time when enjoying color was confined only to the real world. With the advent of Photoshop, everything got changed, a new era in which we can see these photographs in full new hues. The software that grabs all credits is definitely nothing other than Photoshop.
It is definitely an eye feast for the history fans to view these amazing photographs restored in color. Appreciate the great work.
