“Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.” ― Walt Disney Company
Disneyland… Where future present and the past greet each other and create the most joyful and memorable day for any visitor who steps in. Opened during 1955 July 17, the Disneyland in California has successfully provided a shape to insane creativity and imagination. Every kid’s fantasies come true in this magical place. Walt Disney inspired from many amusement parks during the 1930 and 1940’s bought out a 160 acre land and kick started construction during 1954. A grand opening unveiled the amusement park in just a year. Taking a peek back at the grand opening of Disneyland, reveals some of the most beautifully shot color photos by Jack Wrather.
The magnificent castle of sleeping beauty calls upon many children to its enormous walls. “It all began with a mouse” they say. An artificial turf of Mickey Mouse greets many guests at the main street station… Jumping on board with the passengers is a stuffed Mickey Mouse doll. In cup and saucers, the children go round and round at the Mad tea party. Crowds are welcomed by numerous characters like Donald duck, Mickey Mouse, seven dwarfs and lot more during the parade. With all this creation in Walt Disney’s pockets, he moves with crowd enjoying the blissful day with his family.
As Walt Disney studios say “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world”, even to this day the park is being adored with new entertainment rides, carnivals, sculptures and many more. With the thousands flocking each day, Disneyland has always something new to offer.
