Leftover cakes can be used to make cake pops. One can add any flavor to the cake mixture like Almond or chocolate depending on one’s likes and tastes. The baked cake is crumbled to a powder consistency to which a creamy frosting agent like vanilla is added. It is best to make use of the hands instead of the whip or food processor to get a feel of the texture of the cake frosting dough and to make sure it is neither too hard nor too soft. The frosting is added by checking the moisture content in the cake. Too much of it can spoil the texture and too little can make the cake ball hard! A scoop or hand can be used to make tiny cake balls. The rolled cake balls are refrigerated for some time to make sure they retain their shape and texture. Chocolate or candy is melted and kept ready for the cake balls to be dipped in them. Lollipop sticks are dipped in the melted chocolate and then inserted into the cake balls. They are dipped uniformly in the melted chocolate and the excess is dripped off and allowed to dry. The cake pops are ready to be eaten once they are completely dry. They can be decorated with sugar balls or color sprinkles to make it more mouth watering
and delicious. There are many easy to do recipes available online which give step by step instructions for making the cake pops. Happy trying and happy eating!
