I am in Shanghai for a few months now, I`m using http://www.highspeedvpn.com to access blocked sites.

Works well for me, the VPN unblocked Facebook, YouTube etc.

Maybe you should try that if the proxies don`t work (it`s a paid service, about 10$/month).
